Event: "On their Own - 17th c. Spain Metamorphoses in Cave Creek

Details: Sergio Ladron de Guevara was born in Mexico City, lived in Europe for many years and has studied the Spanish masters for much of his 56 year career.

This exhibit shows the ever-present influence of the 17th century Spanish painters, such as Velazquez and his contemporaries, on the work of this artist who works in Cave Creek, Arizona.

Event: A World of his Own - THE ETCHINGS OF SERGIO LADRON DE GUEVARA

Details: A show of the complete etching collection of Sergio. It is also an inauguration of Sergio's etching studio now permanently at Galeria Bellas Artes, complete with two etching presses which are copies of Rembrandt's. He has been working this summer to finish a number of series and will be offering the wonderful copper plates for purchase.

Event: Ten Years Later - Remembering the WALLS

Details: Reception for the artist - Saturday, March 8th, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. This is a retrospective of the 13 remaining paintings of the famous series WALLS OF MEXICO / WALLS OF FRANCE. It was 108 paintings done over 7 years. The 13 paintings which remain will be shown as well as posters and newspaper articles about this series. The series ended 10 years ago in 1998.
